Free online football lineup builder: make your XI and share it

The FootSupporter lineup builder is a free, no-account tool to create your football lineup online, with real squads from 174 teams: pick a formation, place the players — photo, number, position — and share the whole thing with a single link. Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Liga Portugal, Eredivisie, MLS, Süper Lig, Saudi Pro League, Scottish Premiership, Championship plus 34 national teams: thousands of real players, a database refreshed every week, and the tool works in all 5 languages of the site.

How do you build a football lineup online?

  1. Open the builder on the lineup page — nothing to install, no account to create.
  2. Pick a formation (4-3-3, 4-4-2, 3-5-2…) or start from a team instead: select any club or national side and its starting XI fills in with one click, ready to tweak.
  3. Place your players: the unified search takes a player name or a team name, every player shows their club and national team, and one click drops them in. Drag and drop swaps two positions, or moves a player between pitch and bench.
  4. Share or save: copy the link, download the pitch image, or store the lineup in “My lineups” to reload it later on your device.

And if a mate from your Sunday league team deserves a spot, custom players cover it: type a name, pick a number, and put them anywhere on the pitch — like shirt printing, in virtual form.

Which formations can you choose from?

Eight formations cover both the classic eleven and small-sided games: six 11-a-side shapes with a five-man bench, and two 5-a-side shapes with three substitutes.

FormationFormatPlaying style
4-3-311-a-sideBalanced, high wingers, pressing
4-4-211-a-sideTwo banks of four, direct play
4-2-3-111-a-sideDouble pivot, free playmaker behind the striker
3-5-211-a-sidePacked midfield, wing-backs
3-4-311-a-sideAll-out attack, three forwards
5-3-211-a-sideLow block, counter-attack
1-2-15-a-sideDiamond: one defender, two shuttlers, one pivot
2-25-a-sideSquare: a defensive pair and an attacking pair

How do you build a FUT-style dream team?

This is the mode that feels most like Ultimate Team: you can mix every league in the same lineup. A Serie A keeper, a Premier League back four, a La Liga midfield and a Ligue 1 front line — no restrictions. The cohesion indicator plays the role of FUT chemistry: it counts each player's club and national team, rewarding pairs who already know each other. You get to settle the old argument: the galáctico XI with no links, or the tight-knit unit?

It is also the perfect arena for debates with your mates: eleven club legends, your team of the season, or the World Cup XI you would have picked differently.

How does sharing work (link + image)?

Your lineup lives in the link: nothing to create, nothing to host, no account. Copy the URL, send it, and the other person opens exactly your pitch — and can edit it to send their own version back.

The detail that makes it spread: on WhatsApp, X or Discord, the link automatically unfurls into a pitch image generated for your lineup. Not a generic thumbnail: your players, your formation, visible before anyone even clicks. There is also a button to download the image and post it anywhere.

What about 5-a-side games and tournaments?

The two small-sided formations (1-2-1 and 2-2, three subs) cover your Thursday night game. And to pick the sides without an argument, the random team draw does it for you: paste your list of players, teams are drawn at random, each one gets its own lineup link, and a copy button formats everything for the WhatsApp group. We walk through the whole method in our guide to organising a 5-a-side game with friends.

What is the tactics mode for?

Tactics mode turns the pitch into a coach's tablet: players move freely, with no position constraints, and you draw on top — pen, arrows, eraser, three colours. Perfect for explaining a press, mapping out a set piece, or showing your 5-a-side team who covers what when the pivot drops deep.

Frequently asked questions

Is the lineup builder really free?

+
Yes, completely free and no account needed. The lineup lives in the link: as long as you keep the link, you keep your lineup, and you can also save it on your device under “My lineups”.

Can you mix leagues like in FUT?

+
Yes. You can rebuild your club's real XI or create a dream team drawing from 174 teams — Ligue 1, Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, MLS and 34 national teams. The chemistry indicator counts both a player's club and national team.

How do you share a lineup on WhatsApp?

+
Copy the link: the preview automatically shows an image of your pitch with your players. You can also download the image and post it anywhere.
